Nutcote Collection
Nutcote is the heritage-listed home, studio and garden of May Gibbs (1877-1969), one of Australia's best loved illustrators and authors of children's books and comics.
Built in 1925 and saved from demolition in the 1990s, Nutcote is a now a museum, where visitors can wander in May's footsteps around her garden and the reconstructed 1930s interiors of her home.

The interiors of her home have been recreated with extensive collection of 1900-1930s Depression era domestic items, many of them made by well-known Australian brands such as AWA, Willow, Vegemite, Bushell’s, Actil and Kooka. Nutcote is also home to Australia’s largest collection of May Gibbs publications, as well as art, craft and merchandise inspired by her work.
