GETTING TO NUTCOTE

We recommend public transport for your visit to Nutcote.

Ferry
Nutcote is located between two ferry wharfs, Neutral Bay (Hayes Street) and Kurraba Point.

We recommend Neutral Bay Wharf. From this wharf it is a gentle uphill 5 to 7 minute walk to Nutcote. There is also a bus connection (see below). You can also alight at Kurraba Point Wharf and walk to Nutcote from the other direction, however, there are almost 100 steps to climb from this wharf!

To access either wharf, catch the Neutral Bay Ferry from Circular Quay

Bus
The 225 runs between Neutral Bay (Hayes St) Wharf and Neutral Bay Junction.

From Neutral Bay (Hayes St) Wharf you can catch this bus up the hill and alight at the second stop, Wallaringa Avenue. The bus is timed to match with the ferry’s arrival.

Alternatively, from Military Rd at Neutral Bay Junction you can catch the 225 bus down the hill and alight at Wallaringa Ave.

Walking
Walking is possible from Neutral Bay Junction or Milsons Point Train Station. Both walks have steep hills to negotiate and take just over 20 minutes. Nutcote is also located on the Bondi to Manly walking path.

Driving

Wallaringa Avenue is a narrow one-way street. Enter from Lower Wycombe Rd. Cars, ride share, and taxis can drop passengers at the front door of the museum. If driving please check street signs for parking restrictions. Nutcote does not have any allocated parking. There is residential street parking and usually you can find a spot not far from the entrance. There is one 2hr disability parking spot on the street opposite Nutcote.
