HOURS

Wednesday to Sunday 
11am to 3pm

The last entry to the Museum is at 2:15pm.
We are closed Monday, Tuesday and all Public Holidays.

Nutcote's last day of trading for 2023 will be Friday 22 December.
We will reopen on Saturday 6 January 2024. 

ADMISSION

Admission includes a guided tour of the house and access to the gardens.

Bookings

Bookings are not required to visit Nutcote unless your group is larger than eight or you would like to order High Tea. For more information on groups see our group booking page.

Accessibility

The property slopes steeply down to the harbour from Wallaringa Avenue. Access is via the gift shop located at 5 Wallaringa Avenue. There are a number of stairs to negotiate after entering to take you to the café terrace and then onto the cottage and garden. We can assist with prams and walkers but unfortunately, Nutcote cottage is not suitable for wheelchair users. The gift shop and viewing terrace is accessible, however.

Getting TO NUTCOTE

We recommend public transport for your visit to Nutcote as we do not have any allocated parking, instead, there is residential street parking. If driving please check street signs for parking restrictions.

FERRY

Catch the Neutral Bay ferry from Circular Quay and alight at Neutral Bay Wharf. From the wharf it is a gentle uphill 5-minute walk to Nutcote. You can also alight at Kurraba Point Wharf, however, there are almost 100 steps to climb from this wharf!

BUS

The 225 Bus meets the ferry at Hayes Street Wharf Neutral Bay. Alight at the second stop for May Gibbs' Nutcote. You can also catch the 225 Bus from Military Rd, Neutral Bay.

WALKING

Walking from Neutral Bay Junction or Milsons Point Train Station - Both walks have steep hills to negotiate and take just over 20 minutes.

Wallaringa Ave is located along the Manly to Bondi walk. Plan your walk to include a visit to Nutcote.
